Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

Please note: this is a starting template in plain English. Before relying on it, have it reviewed by a qualified professional to make sure it meets the privacy laws that apply to your business (for example, Malaysia's PDPA).

1. Who we are

Flare53 provides a managed website speed service. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and service.

2. What we collect

  • Account details — your name and email address when you create an account or start a setup.
  • Setup details — your website domain, your origin (hosting address), and your chosen plan.
  • Support messages — anything you send us by email or the contact form.
  • Basic technical data — standard information your browser sends when you visit, used to keep the site secure and working.

3. Why we use it

  • To set up and manage your speed layer, HTTPS, and DNS instructions.
  • To email you setup steps, progress updates, and important notices.
  • To provide support and improve the service.
  • To handle billing for paid plans.

4. The website checkup

Our free website checkup performs a passive check of a homepage you enter. It does not perform hacking, vulnerability scanning, brute force, crawling, or load testing. If you ask us to email you a report, we use the email address you provide only to send it.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted third-party infrastructure and email providers to run the service (for example, cloud hosting and email delivery). They process data only to provide their service to us.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and setup records while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove the related records, subject to any retention the law requires.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit access to it.

8. Your choices

  • You can update your details or delete your account from your dashboard.
  • You can contact us to ask what information we hold about you.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails; essential setup and account emails are part of the service.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
